Hi!

Firstly, thanks for taking interest in Ladies of the Line Up Surf Boutique and Community and how exactly things came to be! 

​

So..Here's a little background scoop..

​

Summer time is pretty simple here when you live in the Coromandel of New Zealand - Work, Surf, Repeat- or something like that if you are me. So after a few years doing endless days of cleaning accomodation (a little blue crush, I know..), my podcasts were starting to sound a tad repeditive and my discover weekly algorythum warped after searching something my mum would like, my mind needed somewhere to go. Naturally, my brain was consumed with thoughts about surfing, mixed with thoughts of a life more fufilling than hours of thankless cleaning, I needed something new to work on and look forward to. 

Although surfing came later in life to me, it was something I had always wanted to learn. Growing up, none of my girlfriends wanted to try it so, I ran with my other biggest passion in life and travelled the world snowboarding my little heart out. Eventually the scales tipped and work commitments began to misalign with winter seasons. Eventually I had no choice where to go but to get myself out there, get amoungst it and get in the water.

ABSOLUTLEY NO REGRETS.

The biggest thing that stood out to me with surfing and something I had not experienced before, was the supportive sisterhood of the girls in the waves. I loved it! I wanted to build on it, share it and make sure the up and coming grommy gals would get the vibe and continue it.

Hello... Ladies of the Line up!

Its been alot more work than I ever expected, but so fun and rewarding at the same time. You never know how you will go putting yourself out there and sharing your ideas. But until now, I have had only the most supportive people backing me up and giving me that confidence to just "have a go!"

So here's to celebrating WOMENS SURFING and all the GEMS who are getting involved, following dreams and shaking things up!
